I found very important the points you touched both regarding narrative practices, but also the challenges within it. I believe this de-centering position is something essential to be aware in therapeutic works as we can be part of these systems of control (like you explained). Also, the stories helped clarify what was being said and I was moved while learning a little more of these people (I appreciate their willingness of sharing their stories with us, it was enlightening). I could relate a lot to the moment of “stuck” you mentioned in Cooper’s project and I’m glad you brought it up. It gave me plenty of personal insights, like how this co-investigation process is a journey and sometimes we reach places through some routes we couldn’t even imagine in the beginning. Seeing how you are serious and ethical in your work was very inspiring and made me reflect about mine, so thank you once again!

I have occasionally had people wondering about the compatibility of the two in my own work. You have demonstrated that compatibility beautifully. Thank you.

I found the Rappelling Metaphor particularly helpful in viewing spirituality and agency. I also really appreciate and admire your conscious de-centering, especially in your dual role as a pastor. Thanks for taking the time to do this afternoon.
